3 engagement session tips

Keep in mind these are my tips and not some crazy click bait busted ass bridal website gave you that is generic enough to make you even more frustrated.

1. Dress up, but not all the way up, because yes, you will need to turn up. Wear the lightest layers that are comfortable for the weather on that day. Of course avoid logos, wear properly fitted clothing and timeless colors and patterns.

2. Ready. Set. Party. Bring the energy, but the energy must start before the session itself. Yes, drinks before the shoot —if you’re into that—and plan a date night with dinner and more drinks afterwards. You’ll be loose and feeling like yourself and not worried about the shoot.  The performance anxiety, ha, goes away.

3. Location is the key, the golden ticket, the final frontier perhaps. The best location is an extension of who you are. We all have our favorite spots, places to adventure and explore. Maybe a place where something significant happened, like your proposal happened or first date. In addition to it being special, think of places with interesting elements such as architecture and landscapes. You’ll already know the ins and outs because we are going to a place you either live in or love going to.

What about light? Yes, duh but you can’t control that other than picking the right time of day. And your “awesome” photographer should already know how to shoot in any type of lighting scenario and make you look your best.

Thanks for supporting my art(your moments)

Lovely Downtown Boston Fall Wedding at the College Club of Boston

Enjoy this crisp and incredibly lively and fun wedding which started at the College Club of Boston for the Ceremony and Carrie Nation Cocktail Club for dinner and dancing. It was a windy day which actually cooled off this hot couple. Huge thanks to Market Floral Studio for the fine ass florals. Also the fine peoples at Without A Hitch for piecing this work of art together so magically. Kacie Corbelle Makeup & Hair is simply incredible and helped Jenna look like a wedding goddess.
